Cork and Caça

Took part of a family whose car had broken down, to their flat in Coimbra, so came home a different way, via Abrantes and Avis. Passed through areas of cork forest - these two trees will have been stripped of their cork this year (hence the 4), and will be left alone now for nine years.

Well, except for caçadores (hunters). The small red plaque is advising that touristic hunting is allowed in this area. There are strict regulations about permits and so on, some of which, like being drunk, will be ignored. They will hunt mostly small birds, rabbits, hares, and wild boars.

Gratefuls:
- a good last day of the Retreat
- Mike stopping, so I could get this photo
- getting home safely (at around 21:30)
