Festival building progress

From even just a few days ago the building of the Edinburgh Festival venues continues apace. Bristo Square is disappearing behind a wall of purple hoardings, and here in George Square it's also getting a bit colourful.

This year I am really pleased that, because of the ongoing preservation work on the McEwan Hall, there will be no festival bar outside my office window (it's moving just round the corner to the Medical Quad). However, my office is directly below another festival venue, so no doubt we will still have to endure the delights of sound-checking and stage-building (which always sounds like it's being done by a herd of elephants).
