Terrible night's sleep in fairly dismal hotel with no staff just key codes; no soundproofing to speak of; polyester mix sheets; airconditioning that gave me asthma. Should have booked earlier when nicer hotels may have been available! Off to see the family who are staying at Kingsdown, fun to play tennis with F who is six. Another long-feeling journey, with quite a bit of not really moving on M25 so very very glad to get home. It wasn't a wise week to go travelling around, but means we saw family before we go away next week, and we saw B who isn't well at all, and who knows when the next time will be, if at all.
