Cool, Cool Water

We went to visit our friends John and Jennie today. As it was another hot day we sat outside and had a cold drink (tip for hot weather, always have a couple of bottles of beer in the fridge). Jennie had prepared a wonderful salad with all the trimmings, which we had washed down with a very nice Italian rosé they had brought back from their holidays.

After lunch we spent a pleasant afternoon in the garden, and I took one or two snaps including this one of their water feature with the pretty white flowers. The sound of the water was somehow wonderfully cooling and smoothing.

Later, back home, after the weather cooled a little (became a little less warm) we took Dylan out onto Shottery Fields for a run stroll around.
