Hurrah! B finished her school placement today. No more staying up till gone midnight printing off photos and stuff. And that's just me.

I've been listening occasionally to the America, Empire of Liberty series on Radio 4.
What I have managed to catch has been fascinating.
Today's episode covered the US's jump (grabbing UK's ankles as they went down) into the abyss that is Iraq and Afghanistan. It is amazing how fallible and plain bloody short-sighted politicians can be.
