Hips

Bank Holiday Monday, not quite the day we'd intended! To avoid the crowds, we rarely go out on Bank Holidays so, to be honest, we hadn't planned anything exciting, other than a fairly restful day. But MrM had a request to go into work at very short notice, to install a pickup in a new ukulele purchased by a famous pop star (who shall remain nameless...). He wants to take it abroad tomorrow. It took much longer than anticipated as the instrument needed altering to accommodate the specified pickup. Several hours later...

In the meantime, I painted the most of the 'inside' of my new shed, which is still in pieces.

We did get out for a short walk in the evening, and passed these fabulous rose hips. They remind me of Liz and William, with whom I used to work in a previous existence. They grew roses with hips like these, and made rose hip syrup.
