Sharp and Spiky

The teasel has thorns and spikes everywhere. It is a well armed seed head that is never going to be munched by even the toughest grazing animal. It has very few enemies, but the goldfinch has learned how to balance on the spikes and extract the seeds successfully. Evolution is amazing.
