Tree of Jesse
This morning I took the train up to Shrewsbury to visit the Shrewsbury Stained Glass Festival with guided tours of the Margaret Rope windows in the Roman Catholic Cathedral and the medieval windows in St Mary's church. It was hard to choose which I should blip but in the end I've opted for a detail from the world famous 14th century Tree of Jesse window, surely one of the greatest examples of medieval English stained glass work.
