On the 26th July, Mum and I went on a trip to Clitheroe and stumbled upon the Nick of Pendle Hill climb. I instantly decided I just had to map myself a route and get up there on my bike.
Route mapped and saved...a route that was ridden today! I meandered my way to Oxenhope, across to Wycoller and Laneshawbridge before heading to Colne and out to Barrowford.
Eventually you go through a pretty place called Fence, which tickles me as a name, before going down into Sabden. This is where the Nick of Pendle climb begins...and yippee it was fabulous!
Down into Clitheroe and then through some beautiful little villages, Barley, Roughlee (another funny name!) and Higherford to name a few. I eventually found myself back in Keighley and up it was to Queensbury! I can now scratch off the climb on my scratch off the climbs cycling map of the UK!
You've guessed it, it's now nail painting! A shade called Cloudy Skies which is a greyish blue and a top coat, Diffuse, that adds a shimmer. :-)
