olives

our first day here was spent mainly sorting out the house , stocking up on supplies and relaxing after the long drive down. We did mange to get into the creperie for lunch having failed to do so last night when it was unusually too full for our traditional first meal out. In the afternoon I had the rare treat of swimming in the municipal outdoor pool. Its usually only open during summer school holidays when we tend to avoid travelling. Its a large pool and I thought might be crowded but there was never more than about 12 swimming and often far fewer.
These olive trees line poart of the walk back from the shops and I'm still surprised to see olives (or grapes) growing just by the pavement.
