Starting early!
Today Killyleagh hosted the annual parade of the Royal Black Preceptory, and it was a huge parade! The town was closed to traffic from 9:30 this morning until 6:30 this evening. The parade started at 12 and moved through the town to the demonstration field, and then there was a second, shorter, parade when they returned to the starting point at about 4:30. It passed by the bottom of our garden, so we got the folding chairs out and sat down to watch. It took the parade almost 2 hours to pass where we were sitting, the different lodges and the bands. There were silver bands, flute bands, pipe bands and accordion bands - and I think this little girl was the youngest one there!
