Chasing bees and butterflies

I headed north this morning so I could visit the Flower Festival in Truro. I stopped at the Farmers Market first to get a few fresh veggies. There is a field of zinnias, cosmos and sunflowers. You can cut some flowers to bring home for $2/stem or you can buy a bucket for $25, or $20 if you bring your bucket back from last year. Of course I forgot to bring mine. I cut around 30 stems, so buying the bucket is worth the cost.

Next stop was Masstown Market. I bought a few  more fresh veggies there plus I found a few plants in their garden center that I can use on jobs this fall.

Back to Truro to visit the Butterfly Garden at Dal AC, Fortunately it is away from the residences and all the students moving into their rooms this weekend.

I came home along the old road (the # 2 hwy instead of the #102, which is a busy highway). There was a lot of traffic this morning when I drove to Truro.
