The Pacific

The nor-west winds have howled all day and there are warnings for our area to batten down the hatches as they are predicted to get much worse overnight.  We've secured all our outdoor furniture in anticipation.
This afternoon we did a walk along the cliffs, it wasn't that pleasant really, we felt quite vulnerable with the gusts at times.
I found a quiet corner in the snug and read my book for a time.
As I type this the noise from the wind is horrendous....our neighbours have just texted to check up on us.  Hope all will be well.
