Reading Pride

Did a dance class with the clubbercise teacher first thing. She's stopped doing evening classes so it was great to do an energetic class with her again. No glowsticks this time though. 
Had lunch and then walked into town. We walked past the site of Reading's Pride event and saw so many families and groups decked in rainbows and glitter heading to the event. We reflected on how things have changed since our teen years in the late 1970s. I was so worried for my gay friends - gay bashing was still a Saturday night sport and even holding hands in public would have been seen as quite shocking. It was lovely to see everyone so relaxed and open. Love is love.
