Time Jewels

After working on allotment on Friday, and a day of chores in our garden yesterday, I was going nowhere today.

I recently bought a watch with twenty one jewels. It has an exhibition case on the underside so you can see the inner workings when you take it off. 

Even with my specs on I could only see one jewel, so I had a peek with my macro lens.
Synthetic rubies, they are worthless, but prevent metal on metal wear and tear in key areas.

On yeah, it also tells the time :-)
