Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Today we were both due for an RSV jab. (Respiratory Syncytial Virus). It seems that only Scotland are doing this at the moment. The little vial cost £250 I was told.

Had a chat with the nurse, who gave me some good tips for the Hong Kong visit eg the HOHO bus to Stanley.

JR wasn’t back from the gym in time, and I knew from my last visit when I was the only patient to half a dozen medical folk, it didn’t matter too much. I said I’d make another appointment for her, but the chap said, ‘Tell her just to drop in’ - no need for an appointment - just bring the letter. She went for her jab in the afternoon.

I popped to Boots to get a new pair of those little £2 reading glasses, now that my eyes have ‘settled down’. But those glasses are no more. They’re now £15!

So had a view of the Old Town chimney pots again.

Hope I don’t get a sore jab arm as my right arm is STILL sore. I’m patiently awaiting the promised physio…
