Choo-Choo

The Saphos Lakelander tour was heading back south via the Cumbrian coast line. I decided to try for an image at Corkickle Station. I was there early as I wasn't sure how the light would be and wanted time to get over to Parton if Corkicle was a no go.
The early bird bags prime position and I was there with unrestricted view of the tunnel exit from Whitehaven. There were spotters all along the platform by the time she arrived.
Then it was a case of peering down the tunnel looking for the train lamp, and not fumbling with camera settings.
The locomotive was 34046 Braunton built in 1946 at the Brighton works.. She spent 20years in a scrapyard but was saved in 1988. Finally rebuilt and back into service in 2008.
The driver gave a fine blast on the whistle as she went through while a 100 shutters cracked away in burst mode...
