The Queen's Well
This is the Queen's well in Glen Mark in Angus. On the way to walking up to Mount Keen with a overnight camp about 2/3 of the way up.
This monument was built on the natural spring after Queen Victoria's visit in 1861. She did like to traipse all around Scotland, in style I'm sure.
Lovely evening walk and conditions up there were almost perfect. No wind, not too cold, no midges. Only downside was the clouds that came in after the sun set , so didn't get a chance to see any good night sky stars.
