Here be Dragons

I hope so anyway.  This large handsome (I think female) was repeatedly dipping her abdomen into the water in the corner of the pond where there is a lot of vegetation.  Google tells me that this could be egg laying behaviour but that the female rarely does this alone.  This one was certainly alone though so I don't know what was going on...  

However I'm so pleased that the pond is thriving and life is returning ADD (after duck devastation).

Sam and James left for their own homes today after sharing a roast dinner for lunch in the garden!  It was the first meal that Martin has cooked in the new kitchen!  We are very much liking it, but there are still a few things to finish off.
