a dear friend has - a vegetable garden and - grows the usual - cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes and such - she has given me many - tomatoes this summer - in fact so many - i just couldn’t eat them - all for fear of - them spoiling so i - decided to make some - homemade tomato sauce
i was intrigued with - a recipe where you begin - the sauce on top - of the stove then - roast it a few - hours in the oven to get - deeper flavor and some - caramelization to it - it also aids in reducing - it down, absorbing the excess - liquid from the tomatoes - because you’re roasting - at a low temperature - it ended up making - the perfect amount for - just me with the quantity - of tomatoes i began with - and it is definitely a - keeper recipe leaving behind - wonderful aromas wafting - through my house making it…
