Evening Primrose
As summer begins to wain, we can always rely upon those wilder, grow any where species to catch our eye.
This solitary rather puny Evening Primrose a casing point. It will remain upright to ripen and dry. Over the winter Goldfinches will visit to extract the many tiny black seeds, a vital emergency food source.
