End of an era

We experienced particularly high winds today and we’ve lost a few trees (probably plenty more I haven’t found yet) but this one was special.
It’s been dead for 20 years but for even longer than that it’s been the target tree on the 670m 12th hole of our golf course. It stood prominently on the top of a hill only 50m from the site of Helen and Omar’s wedding 5 years ago and afforded uninterrupted views of Black Billy to the south and Mount Elphinstone to the north. It fell to the east which was lucky for our pig trap!
The extra is a monoMonday blip of isbi’s from 4 years ago showing the tree with Mt E in the background.
