Magpie

A small family of magpies has been visiting my garden for a few months. They're very skittish and fly off if I make even a tiny movement. I wanted to photograph them with the sun on their lovely feathers, but today was my first chance to get a shot. Grey morning, heavy rain followed by a light drizzle and through an open window. So, in the words of Janis Joplin, I had to get it while I can.
