Lunch at the flying Stag

We were taken for lunch today at the Flying Stag which is the bar at the Fife Arms Hotel in Braemar. The picture shows the stag which hangs over the bar.

On the way we stopped for a coffee at Ballater (extra). The buildings in High Street ware decorated with lots of flowers. Passing Balmoral we noticed quite a few police cars around, no doubt due to the presence of Sir Keir Starmer at Balmoral.

In Braemar we parked in the ground of the Highland games, where we saw that preparations were being made for the games next weekend.

Cosmo came with us and seemed to enjoy the outing having nice walks in Ballater and in Braemar. The hotel is dog friendly, and there were several dogs in the bar, Cosmo was interested in watching what was happening, but eventually settled under the table and had a sleep.
