The 'FrogSpotter'
Young Red-shouldered hawk on watch for frogs in our bog/pond. Sitting on the very popular lower branch... 'The Frog Spotting Branch', she watches and listens for any movement or sound. I haven't seen near as many frogs in the pond of late. The hawks, owls and serpents have had many tasty meals! I'm certain that there are still a few amphibians hiding under the water lilies but they're mostly staying out of sight and off the menu. m
