Migrant Hawker
Millie was dropped off at the vets first thing so I took myself to Ripple lakes to take my mind off it all. She is home now, dosed up on pain killers wearing something that is remarkably similar to a flight pillow attached to her collar.
This is a migrant hawker. The identifying marks are the headlights on the front of the thorax which are very narrow in comparison to the ones on the southern hawker in the Extra which are fairly wide. He has blue eyes.
This one was flying round investigating the margins of the lake either hunting or looking for females.
