The new and the old

The strong gales forecast for two nights ago didn't materialise (though a yacht at anchor off the coast of Sicily was caught in a tornado and sank, with some loss of life), but yesterday was grey and wet, so we stayed in Hvar. The weather was better today, that is hot and sunny but again very little wind, and we took ourselves to Milna on the Island of Brac.  

Milna is yet another beautiful Adriatc coastal town, but I couldn't help being struck by the contrast between the old limestone buildings and the confusion of yachts and leisure boats in the harbour. Today's blip is a beautiful local church beside the harbour in the evening sun, juxtaposed with a large motor cruiser.
