Another Project Complete
This is our last day on the farm, probably until November, for hubby and me. We will be camping later in September and then he goes to Greece. I will be staying with Parker and his pups in mid-October and then going to Nashville for hubby’s ship reunion. We will stop to visit the TN kids on the way back. We will probably have a lacrosse tournament next. One way to keep our home clean I guess…. Anyway, we packed clothes and leftover food, dusted and vacuumed our level and finished up the laundry. My sister and BIL cut grass and then the guys went riding. Hubby helped clean up the construction area. I thought it fitting to highlight the finished deck, landing and steps and the hard workers who made it possible. This shot really only shows part of the deck. I needed to be higher to show the great job they did with the landing and stairs. I think the black railing makes it pop. My sister worked on her flower gardens and I iced my bum knee with my trusty Sugar close beside me. She has had a hard time trying not to re-injure her hand but she is determined to get everything finished before we leave. Always so much to do the last couple of days. We will cap off the visit with a steak dinner. All in all, we have had some fun times and nasty mishaps. Sounds like normal life I’d say. I will really miss being here in the fall but there’s always next year. Hoping the coming fall/spring for those below the equator brings joy and fun adventures. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit.
