St Bartholmew’s Church
The day started with litter picking. We only pick up litter for an hour but it’s quite exhausting.
St Bartholomew’s dates from 1110 and is the only active remnant of Hyde Abbey, the final resting place of King Alfred the Great. It therefore commemorates his national legacy and influence and holds a very significant place in the heritage and history of Winchester.
In the evening I’ve been to choir practice. It was good to be singing together again.
