Gurgling the wine
Wine is poured through the device Jan is holding, and it mixes in air with wine. This seems to improve the taste of wine, at least the taste of cheaper varieties. This wine was "gurgled" three times and definitely tasted different, better, at the end of the process.
I was very sceptical at first but after a few blind tests I became convinced.
On the side of the picture are jars filled with the chutney Jan made today.
