Cooling off

Luna had rolled in something sticky early this morning so this was an attempt to get her clean without a shower & shampoo! Result was acceptable.

Slow morning until Birgit came to do wound. She was happy with progress, what I can see looks ghastly to me! Then cup of coffee & chat (moral support) and then had late lunch and collapsed for next 4 hours! With temperature over 30°C the last few days, have not had the energy or water content to do much.

In the evening MrB came over to check the hives and we went over to his bees to collect 24 combs to fill two new boxes which we then set on top of the two full hives. They have been very busy and if we are very lucky and the weather plays along, there is a slight chance of getting some honey this year. Thanks as always MrB even if I was not pleased to get MrsB's text message - if anyone has to be thankful then it is me. Appreciate the thought though ;-))

While we were messing about with bees, Angie came home & went for a ride with Sultan & the horses but the flies were more active even though she went out so late.
