The Fields by Lenacre Wood

The day began with soft, gentle rains, but later, the weather cleared up, and it was pretty warm by the evening.   It was a busy morning at work, but the afternoon was just meetings, so I got away around five. I headed out for a quick evening walk and took a different route that circled the village. I took this picture by Lenacre Wood looking out over the fields, impressed by the lovely muted blues and browns and the patterns in the clouds. Monty is flying from Prague to Milan this evening and will meet up with more friends when he arrives. Milo & Liv have been enjoying the sun at a water park in Lanzarote today – and poor Gubs has had considerably less fun on a 24-hour crunch to finish his summer art projects for the start of the new school year tomorrow.
