The Hottest Day of the Year

With the temperature just over 30C on what has been the hottest day of the year so far, the only place to be for many people was on the beach or in the sea.

This is Compton Bay on the south coast taken from the coastal path where a pleasant sea breeze rising up the cliffs was taking the edge off the heat.

Bed time and still a humid 21C so another restless night in prospect. Not that I'm complaining as this is the Summer we have been dreaming about for months.
