Chateau Milande

A mission to the south Dordogne to visit the chateau home of Josephine Baker. She was an American dancer and singer who found fame and fortune in Paris in the 30's and 40's. She helped the French resistance during WWII and was awarded the Legion D'Honneur. A very great lady.

It was a well displayed exhibition and the chateau is in a spectacular position overlooking the river valley.

Later, staying the night at a hotel in Domme, there was a balloon show with four taking off across the valley at Beynat. A beautiful sight in the home of the hot air balloon.
