Everyday Life

Riverside

I tackled a few more house jobs today, mostly cleaning the kitchen and doing laundry. The washing is drying on the line. Well, I hope it's drying.. it's quite humid and muggy out again today but there is a little breeze...

After lunch I had a walk along the river bank in the hope of finding a Blip. There wasn't a lot to be seen really. A lot of the thick undergrowth and nettles were cleared earlier this year, making it easier to get near to the river in more places. I took this scenery shot, which is the best of a very nondescript bunch today.

We have a local residents association now who are trying to make improvements to the area. They have been distributing these colourful double sided posters (see extra) for residents to display in their window. The other side also rejects chemical use but accepts manual weed removal. I rather like the street weeds, as do the few insects we have had this year.
