A Paine in the House

Mr PB had a racing day today and took himself off to Goodwood. I spent what was supposed to be a leisurely day exploring the area by bus. My first stop was Lewes - an interesting place with some quirky architecture and lots of historical interest. I’d heard of Thomas Paine before but didn’t know much about him. I’ve learnt a little more on this trip, and am tempted to find out even more about this writer and revolutionary
The journey back was anything but leisurely; we got stuck in an horrendous traffic jam, then were turfed off several stops before where I’d intended to get off, leaving me a walk along a windy seafront.
