A quick 10 minute sketch before art group.
This morning I went to my new friend Elizabeth’s to practice uke. She’s very good and is working me hard! Just what I need to get me going again. I really wish I hadn’t stopped during the pandemic. It just stressed me so much I stopped all my hobbies except gardening. Anyway, I’ll soon catch up again.
Then after lunch it was art group. We didn’t actually do any art but we all brought something we had done - hence my very quick last minute sketch!
I need to do some shading and other details on it but didn’t have time.
We had to present an artist we had found and were interested in so I chose the one I mentioned the other day - Amy Katherine Browning.
Others brought interesting artists and ideas too. Abstract, Modernism, cubism, Impressionism. It was all very informative. I’ve never studied art and it is certainly broadening my horizons! They’re a lovely bunch of women (no men as yet!)
I was really tired when I came home and had a wee nap on the sofa.
Frank was busy outside making a shelter for garden tools, at last we’ll have somewhere to put them.
In extra is a sketch Amelia did in her first art class at high school. I’m well impressed!
It’s been lovely weather today.
Goodnight Blippers. ;-)X
