(247) Industry, Past & Present

I'm sure I've blipped here before. Urban circuit today around the perimeter of Glenrothes, this was taken on the way to Leslie on the west side of the town. The sculpture is made from moulded concrete and is an abstracted design incorporating wheels, pulleys, cables, circuitry, symbology and other references to local industries with particular reference to mining, paper-making and electronics. It was created by the then Town Artist, David Harding, in 1970.
