Tax
A predictable shot.
The day started a little early when the bin men arrived, seven floors below, at 0530 but i managed to doze on and off for a couple of hours until a more reasonable hour. Breakfast was an amazing, and enormous (it's taken me all day to finish it) apple doughnut from a tiny, 24hr, place recommended both by the guidebook and also by a friend and fellow Blipper, before heading off for a tour of the city in an original (body work, not engine) 1974 VW camper van. I never used to be a tour person but the last couple of places we've been we've done them and they've been better than expected..This one was equally as good.
After that I felt the need for a beer break so found us a good place to plan the afternoon. Sadly I was still too full of doughnut (it really was huge) to sample the food but the watermelon beer, complete with garnish, was good.
We paid the tourist tax fare to catch an historic cable car back up the hill to the hotel for a bit of a chill out before we head into Chinatown later for dinner.
