A long wait

The bin men usually collect just after 8am on a Tuesday morning, but when I woke just after 10, unusually late for me, the vehicle was still there, with someone working on it. Fortunately it wasn’t raining.

It took until until about 12.30 for it to be running again. They had to get a second van out from Walsall, 23 miles away, with replacement parts to repair the oil leak on the top of the engine.

An otherwise quiet day. By bedtime I’d finished another sock rabbit and tidied up the crafty odds and ends, and decided what to do next.
