Happy Hippo

This baby hippo seemed to be enjoying itself.

For extras I have included a blacksmith lapwing chasing off a yellow billed kite (bird 116 and 117) that was after its eggs . I like the second extra because of the background. We had stopped here for a morning snack and the elephant continued to approach until the guides said we ought to get back into the jeep and there was a bit of a dash to get back on board.

The safari has been non-stop so far but we have a bit more time to relax here which gives me the chance to post at lunchtime rather than last thing
