Bad Hair Day

This morning I made sure I was not late up as I had my hairdresser appointment at 11 AM. Not as early as it used to be but I still like to allow plenty of time. 

I didn't bother with a coat as it has been warm and muggy the last few days, even when it's been raining. Today though, I soon realised that it was as chilly as it looked and there was rain of the cold spray in the face type. My hair was already a ball of frizz from the humidity of the past couple of days - good job I was having it done today!

It didn't exactly go to plan though. A new apprentice was tasked with rinsing off the colour and she took absolutely ages - my neck was killing from leaning on the back-wash sink! She also used warmer water than she should when rinsing out the red colour at the front. 

That may or may not have been the reason that it did not take properly! Sharon, my hairdresser was not happy with it  and redid the red bit. She said it still was not as it should be - I don't know why it went wrong... It doesn't look too bad. I suspect she hadn't mixed it properly. Hope she has her act together next time I go!

Minstrel (extra) wants to be on my lap all the time at the moment. As soon as I sit down he is on. I don't mind at all - I love having him sleeping on me, but it limits what I can do to reading, using my tablet or watching TV - no laptop, desktop or pen and paper activities! He is not on me at the moment - he's looking daggers at me from the sofa arm as he wants me to get up and feed him!

I've Blipped versions of this scene before but today there is a barge as well as some narrow boats. It is the only shot that looked OK in today's dull conditions, other than the moggy one added on the spur of the moment as I posted this. 

Better get him fed before he sinks his teeth into my arm. Again!
