Four sparrows
I love watching the morning birds on the feeder outside our bedroom window. Today it was solely sparrows, and lots of them. Four in this photo! The younger ones are still identifiable. They're paler and rounder and look a little confused by life. I know how they feel.
Today little Miss B went back to school, starting in Year 1 - no longer in reception! Where does the time go? The young master was upset at her departure, apparently, and she gave him a hug and told him she'd be back later. We went round to keep TYM company a bit while our daughter caught up with some household jobs. We didn't stay to see the scholar return, as we thought it might be too much on Day 1.
Last night my head bump from two weeks ago, or all that remains, just above my eye, started throbbing. (I'm writing this as a time-line reminder to myself, as much as anything.) Ibuprofen didn't touch it. But sleep helped a little. It was still hurting when I woke at 2-ish, but had eased off by 4-ish. Today I've had a slight headache, but not the mega-throb of last night. An early night beckons and perhaps some preemptive paracetamol.
Fun moment today: Mrs B and I looked out of her window to see six white butterflies all flying around together, wings touching. They were a delight to watch and we decided they must have just broken out of their cocoons. Never seen that many together at once before!
