painting

I have been out for most of today, firstly doing the weekly food shop and other necessary jobs in town. Then I met my friend Sarah at Gracefield. We had coffee at the Studio Cafe, which is a Usual Place enterprise, so seemed at once familiar and yet different to the cafe where I work. I had a very nice oat milk latte.

We put the world to rights and then went to see the exhibition of paintings by Elizabeth Blackadder and John Houston. I was unfamiliar with the work of John Houston, but mightily impressed. Neither of us were blown away by EB's work, on the other hand. We did spend a lot of time looking at and talking about, all the paintings and prints.

Then it was on to the weekly team meeting at work.

All the photos I had taken today were of paintings which will break Blip's copyright rules, so instead I give you a painting by a lesser know artist who I am sure won't mind me sharing it with you. One of my favourites :-)
