Windblown oaks
Bertie had an early appointment with the vet to get his annual booster and health check this morning so I decided to take him for his walk on the way. It was a lovely start to the day with lots of blue sky and sunshine and the views were beautiful as we drove over the hill. We went to Traigh na Cille for our walk. This is a pretty beach with dark grey sand which has led to its local nickname “Black Beach”. On the way down to the beach we walked under these oak trees whose growth has been greatly affected by the prevailing south-westerly winds.
The appointment with the vet went well, after an initial escape attempt was foiled by treats being wafted in the direction of Bertie’s nose.
