One bite too many,...
Another beautiful day, apart from my run in with rentokil re work they have not completed on the house which left me frought!!
Decided to take Milly out for a walk this evening from Castle Acre to Narborough (12k) - we set out ok leaving one car at Narborough and then set off from Castle Acre, about 1.5k in my friend realised that he had left his car keys in my car so we would be stranded when we got to Narborough, so he went back for the keys and I waited beside the riverbank with Milly and the rucksacks.. We did get somewhat attacked by bugs but eventually set off again some 40 mins later!!
We ended up finishing the walk in the dark with massive mosquitos having a field day with bare legs and arms on show !!!
Milly fared the worst - suddenly she was very distressed and tearing at her face with her paws and on scraping her face on the ground.. I knew something was up and when we got back to the car her face and eyes had swelled alarmingly...I rushed her to the vets where she was diagnosed as having had a massive anaphalatic reaction to something and needed an immediate steroid injection and careful watching for the next hour or two...
Hence the late upload of my image... Milly looks like she has done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson but is breathing ok and I have more steroid tablets to give her...
She is going to have a quiet day today in the cool of the house...
