Relief
For three years I have been searching for a swimming pool and swimming teacher that meets our needs. I have been quite frustrated at times and have spent a lot of money on lessons where we have seen very little improvement. Don't get me wrong - my kids both love the water and we struggled to get them out of the swimming pools on holiday!
By chance, a few months ago, I noticed a sign on a wall advertising summer swimming crash courses so I decided to give it a go. The children had their first lesson today and I could have cried with relief. Really. The swimming pool is perfect, the teacher is fantastic and Olivia came out of the lesson glowing saying how much she enjoyed her lesson and she couldn't wait to go back tomorrow and we actually saw her swimming because she wanted to (she can be a very stubborn little madam when she wants to be). Dexter also seemed to enjoy his lesson and despite being the youngest in his group followed the instructions and also asked to go back tomorrow.
In the afternoon we decided to make the most of the weather and got the bikes out but let the kids ride in the trailer, as it's been a while since we used it and cycle to the number two playground for ice lollies and fun.
More playing with new toys. Olivia loves these lego kits and she built the treehouse on her own following the instructions from the book. She has since dismantled it all as she wants to try and build it again from memory!
