Large white

This butterfly was snacking on the verbena during my garden tea break. It's super to see it. There was a wren dotting around, too, though I can never capture this wee bird on camera – way too fast.

The day started with a walk to Herne Hill and the Jarr the refill shop, where we bought a huge amount of decaf coffee beans among other things. I also picked up a Too Good To Go bag of goodies from a bakery, some of which I gave to a neighbour because even I can't eat that many rolls. The neighbour and I went out for lunch and caught up on a summer of news.
