Heading west
We packed up camp headed into smithers. A lovely breakfast at what is now our favourite cafe in town. Then we attempted to track down a paddleboard patch for husbands board. We then headed west with plenty of beautiful views and things to see on the way. We initially tried a recreation site right on the river in this picture but it was mobbed with people who had been there for a good while and didn't feel right so we continued along the forest service road some more climbing and climbing until we found this spot with an epic view. Just the rooftop tent out for camp as it was late in the day and we knew it was to rain and that we would be moving on tomorrow morning too. A lot of bear poop about so we had bear spray to hand bells on dogs and made lots of noise when walking on the tracks nothing looked recent no footprints and no sign of any bears while we were there thankfully. Dinner was some chicken curry pies we had bought from a bakery in Smithers they were delicious!!
