Morning Has Broken!

... And mine broke very early indeed.

Up at six to be ready for the 714 train and a day trip to Ruth's in Birmingham for a meeting.  It was still pretty dark at six but much brighter when I changed trains in Machynlleth at 8 and took the central pic.   Bumped into Abi from work there, on her way to the airport for a well deserved holiday.    Arrived at Ruth's at 11 and was greeted by some lovely flowers in her front garden.  Morning Glorys in colour breaks I have not seen before, Mirabilis jalapa and some lovely Sweet Peas.

I was there for a meeting with the chap planning her adaptations for a measuring up of the bathroom and to discuss what happens next.  The plans for the kitchen are complete but getting every detail agreed for the bathroom could mean many more months of delay, so although it would be nice to get both done at once, Ruth's opted for getting on with the kitchen asap as she's already been waiting over two years.

Otherwise we had a fairly quiet day, just what I needed!   Travelling by train meant that I could doze on the journey, much better than driving and also cheaper with my travel pass.   I did sleep too, for a fair bit in both directions.   Jamie spent a big chunk of the day with Meg, which was really appreciated as she's not keen on trains and I can't doze off if she's there too!   Just a dog walk to do now before bed.   A trip with Jamie tomorrow.
